Fix the section, keep the door
Most sectional garage doors are built from four or five horizontal panels. When one is dented, cracked or bent — from a car bumper, a basketball, a storm or an attempted break-in — it can often be replaced on its own, as long as a matching section is still available from the manufacturer.

When panel replacement makes sense
- Only one or two sections are damaged.
- The door is a model and color that's still available.
- The rest of the door, springs and tracks are in good condition.
When a new door is the better deal
If three or more sections are damaged, the door is discontinued, or the door is old enough that springs and rollers also need replacing, a new door is often close in price and gives you a fresh warranty. We'll quote both and let you choose.
What to have ready
If you know the door's brand or model (often on a sticker on the inside edge of a panel), that speeds things up. Photos of the damage help too — we can often give you a rough idea before we arrive.

Panel & Section Replacement — common questions
Can you replace just one garage door panel?
Often, yes — if the manufacturer still makes a matching section for your door model. We'll identify your door and check availability.
Will a new panel match the rest of my door?
When the section comes from the same manufacturer and model, it matches closely. Older doors may have faded slightly, so a new panel can look a bit brighter at first.
Is it cheaper to replace a panel or the whole door?
For one damaged section, panel replacement is usually cheaper. When several panels are damaged, a new door is often a better value. We'll quote both.
